Owen deal: Incredible figures
Credit crunch, credit schmunch as Mike Ashley seems to have launched a massive operation to retain Michael Owen. The new deal, allegedly on the table, is set to be a £90,000 a week set up over four years, raking in £18m quid over the course of it. The money on offer dwarfs what Spuds, Wigan and Everton could possibly offer, leaving only Man Citeh and the 'Big Four` as alternatives. Have we pulled another stunt akin to offering double the transfer to Real Madrid that Liverpool did?
