Carlisle aim to keep their Krul

With Tim Krul`s loan spell over at the Cumbrians set to expire, their caretaker boss Greg Abbott has said that they will be doing all they can to keep the lad with them for the foreseeable. Speaking to the press ahead of Krul`s potential last game for them, he said:

'We're chasing up the situation with Tim and I'm planning to speak to Newcastle to find out what their views are. We want to extend it as Tim has done ever so well. Tim wants to play games and has loved it here, but it depends on what Newcastle do with their goalkeepers in the transfer window.

He might be able to force himself into contention over there. If he comes back, there will probably be a clause in the deal so that he can be recalled at any time. He's a fantastic young keeper with great potential. Everybody is looking for a keeper of 6ft 3in-6ft 4in these days. He has the belief and confidence that he can be a top keeper and he certainly has the makings of that.

If he can keep goal in League One he can keep goal in the Premiership because you're still judged on how you command the area and the decisions you make.'
