Trying to find positives from Saturday`s game is like attempting to find a needle in a haystack. However Chris Hughton believes that the 2-2 draw is a satisfactory return against a Stoke side which has an away record amongst the worst in the league. Speaking to the press, Hughton said:
'It would be more of a worry if we weren't picking up points away from home. I think the fact that we've picked up two very good points away from home (against Middlesbrough and Chelsea) softens the blow a little bit.
Yes, we realise that we have to start winning games at home. We're certainly capable of picking up points against Portsmouth and Tottenham. We put Steven Taylor at right-back, Habib Beye right side of midfield and Gutierrez in centre-midfield, where he's played before.
We felt that would continue the good flow that we had with our football in the middle of the park, and that was why we did that. We felt that Geremi hasn't played too many games of late. He started, and we felt we needed to freshen it up in the middle of the park.'
