Ace called Bass

Ace called Bass

We`ve not had much to shout about when it comes to Dennis Wise and Tony Jiminez`s expert signings. Gutierrez and Coloccini have been stop and start whilst Xisco and Nacho Gonzalez have personified the typical Latin impact displayed by Viana and Luque. However Seb Bassong is starting to look seriously the real deal for NUFC. Commenting on the Boro game our French under 21 talent said:

"I just try to do my best, and if I play well, it`s good. But the important thing is that the team gets a good result. And we have done that again for the second week running. We defended very well and we are happy with a point. Maybe we should have scored as well. We went to Middlesbrough to win, but a draw wasn`t too bad for us. We played well and I think it`s good for team spirit.

I am enjoying it and very happy about it. Clean sheets are great for the team and especially for the defenders because that is what we are paid to do. We are very proud about that.

It`s good for the players because it brings some stability here. He is here until the end of the season and that`s great. We can work our way up the table now. Competition is good for us. It`s good for me and Steven and all of the players. If you don`t have it then you can`t move forward. When people are in the team everybody wants to perform well and that helps the team."
