JFK on injuries / Shola

Joe Kinnear looks to have a fairly decent bench for the Boro game at the weekend as he starts to welcome back some of the big hitters. Having seen Owen come back in the last two weeks, Steven Taylor and Mark Viduka are set to accompany Shola on the bench to finally give us some options up front. JFK said:

"It`s great to have Steven Taylor and Mark Viduka back. We will monitor their progress over the next couple of days and, if that gives me a selection problem, so be it.

It was difficult decision to make because both Shola and Obafemi Martins had been scoring goals for us. But when I took Shola to one side on Saturday morning in a little one-to-one chat and told him, he was on the bench, he could not have taken it better. Obviously he was disappointed, but he told me he understood his decision my decision, and that he was part of the squad and it was the team which mattered most."
