Beye bouncing at Bridge bonus

Beye bouncing at Bridge bonus

Following the seriously unlikely no-score draw at Stamford Bridge, Monday, Tuesday Habib Beye was a pretty chipper chap. As part of the team that kept our first clean sheet against them at their own place since Jesus was alive, the lad was delighted but sounded a huge note of caution about taking things lightly at Boro. Beye said:

"It was always going to be a massive test for all of us at Stamford Bridge. But everybody was magnificent at Chelsea. Now I hope this gives us the confidence to do the same every week. We have proved we have the ability to be like this more often.

Nobody expected us to get anything at Chelsea. But it was a massive game for us and a massive point. No matter what the knockers say, you still believe you can get a good result. When you look around our dressing room we have some good players. And if you went into the Chelsea dressing room and looked around they have some very good players too, but they are only human.

We knew if we put some pressure on them we could get something. Now we have to work hard every day to get this club back on to the right track. We can enjoy the moment, but the most important thing for us is to keep on getting more points. This league is very close and you can see that teams can get points in whatever game they play, if they want it badly enough. We proved it here and Fulham and Villa proved you can stop the top teams over the weekend too."
