'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spiderman buzzing

Although somewhat limited in his chances to get forward on Saturday, Jonas Gutierrez was heavily involved in the massive rearguard action against the Blues at the Bridge. With the point in the bag, our Argentina winger, who earlier in the week made his Maradona debut for the sky blue and whites against Scotland, said:

"This point is very important. Chelsea are a very difficult team to play, but I felt we did very well. It`s very difficult to take something from them at their stadium, so we were very pleased with the result.
Gutierrez, and his South American colleague Fabricio Coloccini, both put in sterling displays against the Blues.

We have to try to keep more clean sheets. It`s very important. If we can keep clean sheets, we know we can score. We didn`t score this time, but we kept the clean sheet.

We took a point at a stadium which is difficult for teams to go to, so it has been a good week. But we have to play the same way at Middlesbrough and work as hard. If we do, I think we can win the next match."
