Mixed injury bag

Mixed injury bag

Once again it`s one step forward and one step back on the injury front, as Kinnear was dealt a boost and hit by a blow.

The boost came in the form of Mark Viduka taking part in training for the first time since being diagnosed with his various Achilles ailments. However this was quickly tempered by the fact that Steven Taylor misses out on the Wigan game.

Quite frankly I don`t fancy the horrific thought of a post-Craven Cottage traumatised Cacapa trying to handle Amir Zaki and Emile Heskey. It really does have disaster stamped all over it. Can David Edgar not play instead?

'Mark is back in training today [Friday] which is good news. He could be a very important player if he gets back to full fitness. Hopefully we`ll see him within the next few weeks. Steven will be miss the Wigan game, which is a big loss to us. I've spoken to Claudio Cacapa and Sebastien Bassong and I have to make a decision which one I go with.'
