'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Out of the Hunt

The first of the four prospective American owners ruled himself out of the running today as the never-ending takeover saga continued to drag on. Clark Hunt, the FC Dallas magnate issued a statement through his spokesperson German Sferra saying:

"There`s nothing to it. They`re happy with the sports investments that they currently have. They`re not pursuing Newcastle or any other sports franchise at this time."

That leaves Paul Allen, Mark Cuban and Philip Anschutz as three possibilities.
