Hughsie backs NUFC

Hughsie backs NUFC

Despite participating in the 2-1 win over Fulham, Aaron Hughes has backed Newcastle to stay up even though we`re in a seriously shaky predicament. Hughsie, ever popular and ever a gent, spoke to the Chronicle to air his views on how Newcastle are getting along and how he sees them going. Aaron said:

"Newcastle are a good side, and they`ll be all right. They will not be hanging around at the wrong end of the table for long, without a shadow of doubt. Before I was at Newcastle, when I was there, and after I went, the defence was always pointed out by people.

But I think it`s a bit unfair, because Newcastle are an attacking side, and the emphasis is on going forward and scoring goals. Sometimes that leaves them a little bit bare in places. I was there myself and it`s not easy sometimes."
