'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Big Sho gutted

For the second successive away game Shola`s goal was just a mere consolation as we ended up 2-1 losers. Shola himself displayed some canny hold up play as he seems to be feeling his way more back into the swing of things. However he had stern words for his teammates after they bottled it again at the back. Shola said:

'We were looking to get the winner, and another mistake has cost us dearly. We had them rattled when we equalised, so it's another case of shooting ourselves in the foot. We are taking it to teams, and in the second half their goalkeeper made a fantastic save to deny Joey Barton. But you can't make mistakes like that and expect to win games, especially away from home.

We came [to Fulham] on the back of two great wins, and it pauses our momentum a bit, so we have to make sure that come Saturday we get back on our horse and make sure we get the three points. This league is a strange one. If you have a couple of wins you are right up there, so that is what we will try to do. We don't want to be in that bottom section, so if we keep creating chances we will have a great chance of getting up that table.'
