Rent Boys after Owen?

Ahead of the January window the latest link with a Newcastle player sees Lil Mickey Owen heading the way of Stamford Bridge. The papers this morning speculate that Owen could be on his way to Phil Scolari`s mob for as little as 3m, with his contract up in the summer. Expect silly season and the ever predictable links to both Spuds and Man City to follow very quickly.

I don't think the links between Owen & Chelsea are all that unbelievable. In fact, we brought the subject up about a month ago over on Vital Chelsea. His contract is expiring in the summer, so you have to expect that teams will be sniffing around him. I for one, as a Chelsea supporter, think if we could nab Owen for 3-5m in January, that would be a brilliant piece of business.

Looks like Liverpool have already been linked with him too. Know where he'd rather be.

Better Merlin lad. As many wins in the last week as in the two months previously. Here's for a hat trick at Craven Cottage come Saturday.
