Shola thanks the boss

Shola thanks the boss

Having scored against Citeh and the mackems, Shola is a man back from the brink. Having looked out on his ears all summer, with Norwich, Stoke, West Brom, Boro and Ipswich all interested, only a tight hamstring kept him from leaving NE1. However now he`s back in business he`s laid the praise firmly on Joe Kinnear for his reinvigorated performances. He said:

'Joe's come in and put self-belief back into my game and really put my career back on track. And I have to say it's great for me to be back out there working hard and playing well. He's shown that belief in me, and it's great for me personally.'
