Derby Aftermath - Shay Given
Emerging from the gloomy NUFC camp, Shay Given added his tuppence worth on one of the few occasions our current most experienced first teamer has been beaten by the Unwashed. Having had to face a pair of d*ckheads running onto the pitch following Richardson`s free kick it was an eventful afternoon for our number one. He said on Richardson`s goal:
"It may as well have been a penalty. I knew exactly what the lad would try, and he did, but there was nothing I could do about it. Don`t forget it was wind-assisted and it was just a blur when it flew past me. But all credit to Kieran Richardson, it was a very good finish."
However he kept a civil tongue on the two interloping tossers adding: "It wasn`t very nice what happened to me out there."
