Mackems to face FA bother

Following the various Unwashed pitch invasions, inept stewarding and on-off pitch battles, surely it`s time that the mackems faced the inevitable FA action? Phillips scores in 2000, pitch invasion. Carteron 2001, ditto. Flo 2002, again d*cks on the pitch. Higginbotham 2007 - another set of slack-jaws tip up over the cinder track.

Yet in all these instances all the FA have seen fit to do is tut-tut and wag a finger. How come season after season Newcastle manage to maintain this yet Sunderland can`t?

Yesterday though they got egg on their faces. Sky picked up a cracking shot of two lads walking over and trading punches whilst seats were also seen flying. In this era of CCTV shouldn`t it be easy to identify the culprits?

The FA have said:

"We will look into the incidents. We are awaiting reports from the officials and gathering information. Invading the pitch is a criminal offence and we will be working with the clubs and the police to identify those responsible for encroaching on the pitch and missile throwing.

Neither the police nor the individual clubs will tolerate people running on to the pitch or violence inside the stadium, and everyone will work together to make sure those individuals are identified.'
