Beye red card overturned

As anticipated Habib Beye`s appeal over his Man City sending off has been overturned on appeal, with Rob Styles` humiliation totally complete now. Beye`s reversal means we now at least have a specialised right back for the match on Saturday, rather than having to ship in the likes of Edgar or Geremi as a makeshift.

Styles is incompetant but not for that decision. It was a goalscoring opportunity and Beye took Robinho's legs. The law is very clear. The FA look idiots, they have made a mockery of their own laws. I won't be suprised if more referees come out in support of Styles, if he does quit over this.

interesting to say the least........its hard for refs.......when I fisrt saw it.....it looked a penalty all day......then on the replay I wasnt so sure.....about a penalty.......but definately not a red card ...Until the day comes where a ref is alowed the same as in Rugby to call on another official to be able to look at a screened replay to decide...then we will keep on having these....."iffy" decisions.... ...and if they go for you its good....if they go against you its bad.... Refs can only go on what they see at the time and make their decisions on that......
