'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ginger Warrior backs Joe

Having skippered the side a lot recently and definitely established himself as one of the senior members of the squad, despite his problems previously with the fans, Nicky Butt remains one of the most popular NUFC players for his whole hearted displays. Butty has joined others such as Taylor, Harper and Given in handing their public support to Joe Kinnear. Talking about JFK and the impending City match, he said:

'He's given us a bit of stability. He's not been shouting, he's stood at the side in training and taken it all in and got to know the players.

At the minute City are on a high because they can see all the things that can go for them in the future. They've gone up a notch, Chelsea did it a couple of years ago and now City have done it. Just when you think you're the biggest club, someone else comes in with more financial clout.'
