Gerry Francis knocks us back

Having been offered a two day a week position with the club by Joe Kinnear, it was today that Gerry Francis finally revealed that he was set to keep his media commitments and his current position with Stoke. The bemulleted one said:

"I have been working at Stoke for a few weeks now and I felt a bit of loyalty towards them. It was Tony Pulis who came to me first and, in all honesty, I am really enjoying my time with the club. I did speak to Newcastle United and they made me a very good offer, but the position Joe Kinnear is in there made it difficult. I am happy to draw a line under all of the speculation and I am happy to be at a club like Stoke City."
