'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Xisco speaks

Having experienced a less than auspicious start to his Newcastle career, despite his debut goal against Hull, Xisco believes he will ultimately become a success at NUFC. Away with the Spanish under 21 side presently, he has spoken to the local rags about his early days. He said:

'I will get better and I will take my chance when it comes. Things always get better after more training and more games. And I hope that is the case at Newcastle. You always need to become more familiar with people when you arrive at a new club.

Football is different in Spain, but I think I can adapt fast. I wanted to come and play in the Premier League because it is a big league. Along with La Liga, it is the strongest league in the world. Most players who have the opportunity to come here do so. And I just want to take my chance.'

On Monday, Xisco, you may well meet an Irish bloke called Richard Dunne. Just ask him what the difference between La Liga and the Premiership is. You'll know all about it after that, I think.
