'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tayls backs Psycho

Following England`s successful Under 21 campaign, which led to their qualification for the European Championships next summer, Steven Taylor backed his international boss over his tactics throughout the campaign. Taylor looks set to captain the side next summer as England attempt to claim the title that has continuously evaded it`s so called Golden Generations. Taylor said:

'There is no one better to have in your dressing room than Stuart Pearce. He has that aura about him. He might frighten some people when he talks. But when he does, the lads listen. He just gets so much respect from people.

When you are playing in the Premier League, sometimes you see managers barking instructions but players don't really listen. When your manager is Stuart Pearce, it is amazing how many heads turn. He knows what the game is all about and that experience is being passed on to us. We all look up to him. Who better could you have to learn from.'

You won't find many Manchester City fans arguing with that. Stu is a top bloke and he is right there in your face. Nottingham Forest, Manchester City , West Ham and Newcastle know how good he is. And I hope he will get his chance when Capello messes up -- which he willl.
