Effing Joe gets slap on wrist

With threats of fines and touchline bans mooted by the media for Joe Kinnear following his Everton press conference, severe trouble failed to materialise when the FA issued a statement saying that Wor JFK had been warned over his future conduct.

Joe`s Tourettes kicked in big style when he laid into the gathered hacks, launching a five minute tirade at them containing no fewer than 63 'rude words`. From our point of you it was a rare point of passion and one in the eye for the Southern pr*cks who had backbitten at NUFC for months on end.

However the FA said:

'Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear has been reminded of his responsibilities by The FA. The FA has borne into consideration the specific context in which the comments were made and the fact that the comments were made in a closed forum.

While he will not face any formal disciplinary action on this occasion, he has been advised that in the event of similar public comments, disciplinary proceedings may be brought against him.'
