'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Taylor confident ahead of tussle

Set to line up against the Taffs tonight, Steven Taylor has again been handed the armband, despite a very shaky performance in the Principality. Taylor expects to line up again with Chelsea defender Mancienne and he has vowed that the players have had the shunt up the rear that will get them focused again. Tayls said:

"We`ve had a kick up the backside and now we know it won`t be easy against Wales. From our point of view, we know didn`t play as well as we have done in recent games. We had a few injuries, and had to make a few adjustments to the side, but that shouldn`t affect how we play. We maybe didn`t know what to expect.

It was a like a Premier League game, and they were very direct. We went a goal down, but we always knew if we got one goal, we could go on and get another. It was probably what we needed as a team. People might have thought we had got ahead of ourselves, but we knew it wasn`t going to be easy there.

In the second half we were much better, and we performed like we can. We got amongst them. It was probably the best result we`ve got in all of the qualification. To come back from a goal down and win 3-2 was a great result. We know what we have to do now. It`s a big occasion, and we can`t throw it away. There`s no reason why we can`t get goals, and we know we have to keep the back door shut. We know what to expect from them, but we feel we have got the quality to win the game."
