Tayls shocker but Young Lions win

Having been selected to skipper the England Under 21s side last night in Wales, Steven Taylor didn`t exactly turn in the performance of his life as the Young Lions scraped a 3-2 away win. Taylor was involved in an embarrassing mix-up with Chelsea`s Mancienne at the back allowing Simon Church to bag the first of his two goals. In between the two Wales` strikes Boro pair David Wheater and Adam Johnson netted before Gabby Agbonlahor of Villa cheekily popped up with a winner.

The tie turns to Villa Park next Tuesday as Stuart Pearce`s side aim to protect their lead.
