Young Dane on trial

Given Dennis Wise is contractually obligated to bring in six youngsters to Newcastle each year it seems only logical that another starlet has landed for a trial. This time around it is Danish striker Kevin Mensah who has appeared at Little Benton.

Mensah is currently on Danish First Division side Viborg FF`s books and has been invited to St James` Park again following a stint with The Magpies last year. Our scout Ole Nielsen added:

"Kevin has come over to prove that he is good enough, and that he has what we seek. And he has to also see if Newcastle have anything for him, this is two-way. Now, some things happened in the club last year which means that he came over again. But I have some of the reports from last year when he did so well and so I have had a good dialogue with (sporting director) Steffen Hojer in Viborg.

As far as I am aware, an agreement that we should offer an amount of money to Mensah has not been made. Now we see him, and then we take the decision. But it is clear if we think he is good enough we will get a bid in, and so then it's out of my hands how the negotiations go. But yes, we are interested in him, otherwise we would not bring him over again."

I'm just a Manchester City Supporter. How come this article gets raised and none of you barcodes make a comment? OK let me make it simple. How does Dennis Wise have any credibility here at all?
