Capello hints at Owen future

Capello hints at Owen future

Despite his recent omission from the England squad and many commentators on the beautiful game hinting that this could be the end of the road, international wise, for our deadly finisher, it looks like our number 10 could still be in the frame for a call should Crouch or Defoe experience any dip in form. Capello today spoke out and commented that "Michael Owen is a good player. It is possible that he is back next time".

Obviously this remains a boost for us as it is well known that Owen`s target of Bobby Charlton`s 49 England goals is the striker`s own personal Everest.

Never understood Capello's decision - even as an impact sub Owen would be a useful squad member.
