Derby Update: mackem striker expected back

Derby Update: mackem striker expected back

Having missed the start of the season with a knee injury, mackem striker Kenwyne Jones looks set to make his full return from injury against our good selves later this month.

Jones, of course, landed awkwardly on his knee when Trinidad and Tobago faced England in one of the most meaningless friendlies possible.

Royston Keane commented:

'The downside is Kenwyne's not under our roof where we can monitor him but we are getting reports daily and he's doing well. The Fulham game will come too early for him but we'd hope he's available after that for Newcastle."
