'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mixed bag of call ups

With the press heavily pawing over the omission of Michael Owen from Capello`s latest England squad, a lot of other Magpie inclusions have been overlooked. First up, at under 21 level, it`s play-off time for places in the Euros this summer. Steven Taylor looks set to take on Wales Under 21s in the double header, with Xisco and Zog also involved against Switzerland and Germany respectively.

At senior level, Duffer is called up by Trappatoni for the ROI team as the take on Cyprus in Dublin. Naturally Shay remains the Italian`s first choice in nets.

Over in South America, Colo takes on Uruguay and Chile in a double header, with our delay against Man City definitely a welcome respite following Spiderman`s injury for the Argies last time.

Lastly in Africa, Geremi continues his Cameroon campaign against Mauritus. It`s certainly alright for him...
