With the healing process underway, Jonas Gutierrez is set to head back from Argentina to begin the final stages of recuperation in the balmy Tyneside autumn. Having suffered a cracked bone in his shoulder, the player should make a return in the next three weeks. He said:
"It's just a process now, not a matter of days, unfortunately, but I'm hoping it'll be three or four weeks from when he suffered the initial injury. He's been in Argentina, he's had medical treatment over there. He comes back early next week to maintain what he's done so far and to carry on his rehab. It's his right clavicle that he's cracked, but he hasn't had an operation.'
