Carroll - great timing for bad press
With the club already embattled off the pitch, the last thing the club needed was a bit of bother with the law. Handily Andy Carroll has decided to pick up the mantle of bad boy and was cautioned by the Bill for a late night assault on a woman. Sounds just the publicity we needed. The police spokesman said:
'On Sunday 14 September police were called to the Pudding Chare to a report that a woman had been assaulted. Officers attended and a 19-year-old man was arrested and later accepted a police caution for assault.'
