D.I.G. - no truth in interest

As commented on earlier, Mike Ashley`s booze cruise of the Middle East seems to be running into troubled waters with the Dubai Investment Group the latest proposed option to come out and deny interest in the club. A statement on their website read:

'Following incorrect media speculation about Newcastle Football Club, Dubai Investment Group can confirm that it is not involved in any negotiations to buy Newcastle Football Club, nor does it plan to do so in the future.'

Normally I'd laugh at such an outrageous statement but given Captain Porky's stewardship of the Newcastle Titanic it seems a distinct possibility.
