'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Living in denial

To summarise the latest rejections for the Newcastle job / ownership it seems as if Slaven Bilic, top bloke that he is, has knocked back any suggestion of joining Cuddly Mike`s sharabang, in a series of interviews given this morning ahead of the Croatia v England WC qualifier. He joins Marcelino Garcia Toral in saying 'no mas` to the rumours linking him with the job.

On the takeover subject this morning Anil Ambami`s Reliance group stated:

'Our position is that nothing has changed and we have been wondering why these stories keep surfacing in England. We have not expressed interest in Newcastle. There is nothing in the latest stories. It's a non-starter. As of now there is no interest, although I cannot speculate on what may be the future plans of my management.'

Dubai International Capital also issued a denial saying it had no interest in taking over the club:

"I can confirm there is absolutely no truth to rumours that DIC will be buying Newcastle United FC."

On the wacky side Ashley has apparently filmed a cringe-worthy appearance in Goal 3 and the Mirror speculates he could be set to decamp to Hollywood and buy a film studio. Suggestions for future castings include a reprise as Fat B`stard in Austin Powers 4 or the role of Sherman Klump`s UK cousin in Nutty Professor 3.

Denial don't no what it means, neither does Ashley.
