Owen contract latest

Where the media rumours of a bumper Michael Owen deal came from certainly needs clearing up. The latest from Thomson House is that Owen has been offered a one year deal extension worth £85,000 which again hints at the wage bill reductions that have been mooted by the Ashley camp in less than subtle newspaper interviews.

Again quite what the penny pinching aims to achieve is beyond the current comprehension, with our bench on Saturday expected to have a distinct youth club feel to it and fans disillusioned by a lack of replacements for the seven departures this summer.

still, as long as Mike Ashley stands with the fans as a fake toon fan swilling drink (lets face it he didn't realise what he was getting into and does not know how to run a club) he appears happy. What a fake! If they allow Owen to go they'll leave you in trouble and I would think King Kev would be following?
