£12m Malouda and others linked

For once NUFC will be looking in the direction of the Bernabeu as Florent Malouda becomes the latest player linked with NUFC.

Malouda, along with Antonio Valencia, Marek Jankulovski, Michal Kadlec and Philippe Senderos, make up KK`s last week shopping list according to the Fuhrer`s Daily Mail (achtung!).

Any move for Malouda reputedly hinges on the Robinho-Chelsea move that seems to have dragged its heels in the papers for as long as the whole Ronaldo and Berbatov sagas. A £12m deal and Dennis Wise using connections to his former club have been mentioned.

£12m - you can have him now!
merlin
Thought it was a bit excessive myself - isn't that what you paid for him? Would rather take the chance on Wright-Phillips.
BaldEagle
I'd rather you took the chance on Shaun as well BaldEagle. Neither Shaun nor Florent are likely to thrive at Chelsea (though if Florent proves me wrong this year, I will eat my words). But the difference is that I can't help having a liking of SWP. I want him to succeed in England and I think a club like Newcastle would be perfect for him. You are a team that takes great pleasure in going forward and he would be ideal for you. The fans would take to him, I'm sure.

£24m for the pair of them. It's a done deal!
daspecial1
take them both chelsea dont need them any more

I hope Benitez renews his interest in the bloke. Highly unlikely given the Downing rumours this morning but we've got Spiderman / N'Zogbia playing out there. I can see 4 or 5 other positions that need investment rather than the left wing.
BaldEagle
agree eagle. What we need is a CF LB CM & AM.
Toon4LiFe
Just wondering toon4life - is N'Zogbia not very good at LB? (Don't get to see NU all that often). Not sure you've got a CF problem though really - when Owen, Viduka and Martins are all fit, you've got a forward line that most clubs would dream of. Not to mention support from Duff, Milner, Gutierrez etc. maybe a CM would be a good idea - since Emre and Barton seem out of it. Sidwell would've been a good choice if you'd been quick off the mark but to be honest - you're not desperately lacking.
The_Legend_Of_Zola
He's ok but is more useful in an attacking role. We need a LB for cover for enrique so we can play zoggie more forward. When he runs at defenders he can cause havoc. Amazing dribbling accuracy but needs to work on his short passing. With smith not scoring, ameobi on his way and viduka's age and injury problems we need a big CF. LB and CF are priority and a CM would be a bonus.
Toon4LiFe
Given the recent tabloid tattle I'd love to see us line up: Given Beye Colo Taylor Jankulovski Gutierrez Guthrie Butt N'Zogbia Owen Martins
BaldEagle
Ah I forgot about Enrique completely! Smith and Ameobi are almost certainly not going to help you move up the table as anything other than squad players. I didn't know you'd been linked with Jankulovski - he'd certainly be a good buy, if only for a few years of play. Whatever happened to Andy Carroll? He looked promising.
The_Legend_Of_Zola
Jankulovski would be an excellent addition. Andy Carroll can be the next big thing.. he has huge potential. im glad hes staying with his home club. He's injured too (ankle) but if fit would definately be in contention to play.
Toon4LiFe
Ah ok. Thanks for answering the questions mate - best of luck for the rest of the season!
