Having experienced the death of his mother this summer in totally tragic circumstances, wasn`t it fitting that Oba Martins should get the opening goal of our season? Speaking to the Ronnie it was a happy centre forward who cast his thoughts towards the Bolton game. "This was a fantastic result. Even though we haven`t won, we have picked up a result that many teams would like at Old Trafford. We tried our best to win this game and are disappointed not to, but we will take a point.
I`m happy to get my first goal of the season in my first game. It was important for me, but more so for the team. We wanted to get off to a good start and this has helped do that. Their equaliser was unfortunate for us. But that`s football sometimes. We worked very hard during the rest of the game and we have picked up a big result."
