Faye update

As the pre-season gets even stranger and stranger, latest BBC updates from Stoke claimed on Thursday that Abdoulaye Faye was training with Stoke City while his agent was negotiating the personal terms of a move to the Britannia Stadium.

Faye had been seen in light training at the open day at St James on Wednesday, having missed the whole pre-season with a calf injury. He hasn't played for the club since being subbed at half time in the final game of last season at Everton, with claims of a dressing room argument with Charles N`Zogbia over alleged pay packets.

This seems to have been confused by the fact that one time Newcastle player Amady Faye is also close to earning a contract down at the Britannia.
