"I hate Tottenham" came a slightly half-hearted cry by Mike Ashley a few weeks ago, in his haste to put right the notion that he 'propa loves the Toon, like`, since hanging up his Smith 17 shirt naturally, and isn`t really in it for the money at all ('no sir!`). Funny it seems that the single purpose of the club these days seems to be smoking out players for us to 'step aside` and let Spuds sign.
Latest in the long line of Woodgate`s, Modric`s and Arshavin`s seems to be Fabricio Coloccini who, according to the ever reliable Sun (snigger!), would prefer to link up with Ramos and co at White Hart Lane. Having watched the club flap about, haggling like a tramp in a bazaar, as players come and go under our noses has made for one of the most insufferable summers since the likes of Charlton and McFaul were in charge.
Expect developments on this one once the nutter chairman from Deportivo lands in Venezuala.
