Sidwell to Newcastle

Two Seasons ago Alan Oliver of the Chronicle promised us that then Reading midfielder was on his way to Newcastle.

Today there are reports that he could be on his way at last after apparently being deemed surplus to needs at Chelsea. There are reports that this puts yet more pressure on Joey Barton. Personally I think he is being lined up as a replacement for Butt. Butt has been fantastic for the club but probably has a year left at the most. Sidwell may well have wished he had joined Newcastle from the start instead of warming the bench at Chelsea. The only problem maybe his wages.

So it's between Villa and Newcastle. Today's reports are claiming that he's set to leave Chelsea for Villa in the next 48 hours.

Will be glad to see the back off him, never afford a real chance and our squad is currently too big.

Was clearly signed by Chelsea as cover for the african nations. Is now no longer needed and would be a good buy for any second tier Premier League team.
MASTER-RFC
Looks like he's signing for villa
