Martins would like to play for Arsenal

Martins has been quoted saying it would be nice to play for Arsenal. However before you start shouting obscenities at the computer screen he also said that unless Newcastle want to let him go then he is going nowhere. I would say this is an understandable comment bearing in mind what kind of season we have just has and the fact that Arsene is known to be an admirer but believe me if Keegan has ANY influence what-so-ever Martin's is going nowhere.

In other news, Bolton have distanced themselves from a proposed loan move for Joey Barton. It would be doubtful if any Premiership team would want to taint their reputation with such a person and his wages would be beyond most Championship teams so expect him to be here next season unless he bumps in to Big Al in Newcastle and tries it on with him! Here's hoping.

Barton for Bolton? Methinks Barton is too much of a softie to properly adopt their tactics.

If Martins wants to play for Arsenal, let him!!

He was asked whether he would like to play for Arsenal. It's a bit different from simply stating it. If he had been asked whether he wanted to play for ManU or Real or Barca he might have been expected to say yes too.
Amos.
At the end of the day which player wouldnt want to play for one of the top four in any top league? I dont think we would let him go anyway.
