Taylor to sign new contract with Newcastle

The Daily Mail reports that Taylor is ready to sign a new contract. A lot of people have been looking on nervously as Newcastle seemed to stall on offering Taylor a new contract.

Taylor seems to have potential in abundance although he does have moments of madness. Alongside calming influences such as Faye Taylor seems to be a solid and commanding figure.

No figures have been mentioned but it is widely understood that Taylor is on significantly less than most first team figures at the club. This new contract is expected to bring him up to the same level as the rest and not before time too. Lets hope they pull something out of the bag to secure Michael Owen for the next three years.

As always comments welcome.

Damn! Fancied him for Chelsea!
merlin
He's a good solid defender who always gives 100%. Now that doesn't get said very often about Newcastle defenders!

I read he was going to Pompey....

You need to keep good young players especially defenders.
