Lazio sign Newcastle's Rozenhnal

According the BBC 'Italian club Lazio have completed the permanent signing of Czech Republic defender David Rozehnal from Newcastle.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Magpies in a £2.9m deal from Paris St Germain last summer, had been on loan at the Italian club since January.

Lazio have now exercised their option to sign the player permanently in a move Newcastle say will see them recover the full fee they paid PSG.

Rozehnal made 25 appearances for Newcastle last season.'

Personally I am glad to see the back of him. He never really settled here and was never going be a crowd favourite as he never had the right attitude. I am gald to see we are getting rid of some of the also-rans, I just hope we have some players lined up. Our squad was already small this season, with Emre, Rozenhnal, Carr and possibly Duff and Shola going are we going to have much left? I hope the manager and board know what they are doing.

It didn't really work out for him at Newcastle. Along with many other defenders you have had they all seem to suffer from the terrible titus bramble disease!
