Martins on his way out of Newcastle?

Several newspapers have been reporting that Newcastle have offered the popular Obafemi Martins to clubs. Apparently keep to trim the wage bill it seems as though Newcastle maybe willing to let the Nigerian go.

We are quite sceptical as the story seemed to originate in the Sun and contains no quotes from anybody than the usual 'insider'. We feel it would be a big mistake to let Martins go as he adds something lacking in the United team at the moment, pace and flair. When he runs with the ball, he frightens defenders. This is something that Keegan is aware of and has encouraged unlike Big Sam who seemed to be keen to put the shackles on Martins.

We hope the story is untrue and like we say, we think it is. Do you think we should hold on to Martins? Do you think he should be sacrificed to preserve our financial situation after the alleged miss-management of the Shepherd era?
