Toon Target Deco Has Premier Ambition

Barcelona's Deco likes like he has opened the door to a possible switch to the Premier League this summer with comments he is believed to have made, comments which would put Kevin Keegan on alert as the Portuguese midfielder is believed to be one of his targets, so rumour has it anyway: 'The club spoke with my representative and I know that there are offers, I am going to negotiate. I don't want to leave Barca with problems,' Deco told the Spanish media. 'Barca people come and go, but the club continues, and me going is not the end of the world.

'I want to be where I am wanted and when things end up this way, it is best that you go. I thank the club for being honest with me.'

The Toon are not the only Premier League club linked with the former Porto man, Chelsea, who are long-term admirers would also be put on alert (as would several others) to his comments that he would be willing to move to England or Italy this summer.

Do you think that Deco could come to St James' this summer?
