£23.6million, Pocket Change For Porto Defender!

Rumour has it that Porto defender Bruno Alves is attracting the attentions of Kevin Keegan, with it claimed by Sky Sports that Toon scouts, as well as Man City ones, have watched the 26-year-old this season.

Alves' agent, who is also his father, claims that there is a lot of interest in the defender: 'Porto is not interested in a sale right now, but anything is possible after Euro 2008,' Washington Alves told the media. 'Bruno is playing very well. A number of European clubs have asked about his contract situation.'

Alves himself isn't ruling out any move, but he knows it will take a big offer to see Porto part with his services as he is under contract until 2012, with it claimed that Porto will accept a bid, so long as it is no less than 30million euros, which is £23.6million!

If you are going to make progress you need to spend some money but that is a bit too much. I hope Newcastle have a good season and maybe they can push for 4th spot in the next few years
