Johnson Ends Toon Hopes Of Landing Him

Johnson Ends Toon Hopes Of Landing Him

Andy Johnson was a name that Kevin Keegan was interested in trying to sign this summer from Everton, so rumours said anyway, but any hopes of Keegan prising him away from Everton seem doomed to failure with Johnson himself telling the Daily Post: 'I have seen the story in the newspaper and it's absolute rubbish. I have recently signed a new deal at Everton, which I was delighted to do. Stories like this make me really angry.

'I can only promise the fans that I love being at Everton, I am fully prepared to fight for a place in the side like everyone else in the squad and that leaving the club has never even entered my head.'

You'll have to turn your attention somewhere else by the likes of it Keegan, same applies to Man City and West Ham who was also being linked with the England man.
