Toon Make Official Approach For Dunne

Man City captain Richard Dunne is the top priority for summer signings for Kevin Keegan as far as defenders go and the Toon boss has launched a £5million official approach, so rumour in The Echo has it.

Dunne is still stalling on a new contract with Man City so could depart this summer even though Sven Goran Eriksson is keen to hold onto the Irish defender, recently named the Republic of Ireland Player of the Year.

Keegan missed out on Luka Modric over the weekend when he decided to move to Spurs, but can he now capture 28-year-old Dunne in the coming weeks to kick-off his summer spending spree?
