Toon Winning The Race For Hot Property Modric?

Luka Modric is one of the hottest properties in Europe at the moment, with Arsenal and Chelsea both chasing him, but if reports are to be believed the Toon have just about won the race to sign him for £12million from Dinamo Zagreb this summer: 'The money Newcastle are offering is fantastic,' The Sun is quoting Zagreb Vice President as saying to a source close to him.

A number of tabloids today are running the story that rumour has it the Toon have beaten a long list of clubs to sign the Croatian, but of course this doesn't make it true though. This would be quite a capture for Kevin Keegan and would signal a definite sign of intent for next season, it is just a shame that if these rumours are right that the money could well prove his defining motive.

Will Modric really arrive at St James' this summer, or do you think this is just a case of rumour has it this will happen?

luka in newcastle for 25 mil euro. that will be great for newcastle, luka is great player, better than Niko kranjcar from Porsmounth, he is allround player with great vision, nice touch and one of the most value player in croatia national squad.
