Toon Target Riise Fear For Liverpool Future

Although John Arne Riise would like to stay with Liverpool he fears that he could be faced with having to make an Anfield exit this summer, and St James' could be a possible destination for him: 'I hope and still believe in a new contract with Liverpool,' Riise is quoted on Sky Sports. 'But I cannot say definitely that I have a future here when I only have one year left of my deal and haven't heard anything from the club yet.'

Riise, who scored an injury time own goal against Chelsea in the Champions League Semi-Final first leg on Tuesday, is being linked with the Toon and Aston Villa, so unless he is offered a new deal this summer it looks as though he will be moving on.

Kevin Keegan has openly admitted that he wants a new left-back and John Arne Riise fits the bill, but will he the Toon get him?
