Martins Happy To Stay At St James'

The cynical would argue that Obafemi Martins has 90,000 reasons a week to want to stay at St James' next season as he is close to signing a new £90,000 per week deal to stay at St James', but there is more to it than that.

Although he may have once looked like an exit could've been on the cards he has no desire to do so as the Toon have treated him well as his agent explained: 'Oba has been treated so well,' Chris Nathaniel said in the Daily Mirror. 'There are just a couple of things to sort out.'

Under Kevin Keegan Martins has thrived and looks like he has a big part to play in the future at St James'. Would you be happy to see him sign this new deal? Is he worth it?
