Liverpool To Make A Shock Move For Harper?

Liverpool have often had a bit of trouble with 'keepers over the years, most certainly their back-up ones and rumour has it today that with Rafa Benitez becoming increasingly frustrated with his lack of back-up options at Anfield Steve Harper will be turned to.

What is being built up as a shock move by The Sun could see Harper move to Anfield for £500,000 this summer to challenge Pepe Reina for the 'keepers jersey. What seems to be forgotten is the fact that Scott Carson looks like he will be returning to Anfield anyway, and although he will want first-team football if someone isn't willing to pay the asking price Liverpool have him.

Harper could've left plenty of times over the years but has always stayed loyal to the Toon but with his contract running down and the chance to play for a club with such a pedigree could he be tempted? I don't think so really.
