Viduka Sees The Toon Potential

Newcastle have struggled this season but Mark Viduka can see the signs of improvement, and should this carry on between now and the end of the season he believes that the next campaign promises much for the Toon: 'We are beginning to see the potential of this team, and I think the players are starting to look around and think: 'We could be on to something here',' Viduka told the media.

'If we keep playing this way then next season could be a big one for us. We're getting more and more used to the system and we're getting better and better with each game we play like this.

'Everyone knows their job a lot better and there's no confusion about your role. We're a team that's very difficult to beat now.'

The Toon following would have heard this plenty of times before but is Viduka right, is the future potentially as bright as he feels it could be or is this just going to be another false dawn?
